09 Jun FACE FACTS
It seems that I have a ‘Beauty’ tab on my blog that I am yet to show any love to (until now) which seems crazy because I am actually beauty obsessed!
When I finished high school I studied to be an aesthetician and I absolutely freakin loved the course. I learnt so much from it gained a rather large obsession with make up, beauty products and treatments. Although I didn’t go directly into working in that industry, the interest lingers.
I am always experimenting and trying new things but these seem to have been staples for a while now so I thought I’d start by bombarding you with a bunch of my favourite products. From now on I promise to regularly and calmly keep you updated with new loves!
Miu Miu Eau de Parfum – The first fragrance by Miu Miu. Smells so damn good.
Aesop Camellia Nut Hydrating facial cream – super hydrating with a matte finish
Philosophy- Purity Made Simple – 3 in 1 cleanser for face and eyes.
La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream – Not cheap, but the best I have tried. By far.
Mac Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle– love this highlighter!! It gives a beautiful radiant glow without being too intense.
Hourglass Veil – Oil free Mineral primer with SPF15
Clinique Chubby Stick – Contour. I just draw directly on my face where I want contour then blend with one of my Real Techniques brushes. These brushes are so good and not too expensive. I have had so many expensive brushes which have been great but I can’t stand it when the bristles come off and get stuck to my face! These ones don’t do that and they are soo soft!
Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation – I like something that will move with my skin and not crack or look too cakey. I love this foundation because it blends well, I can just use a little bit for colour, or a lot if I need more coverage.
Bobbi Brown Retouching Powder in Yellow (doesn’t actually look yellow on the skin)- I find it hard to find a powder that doesn’t get caught in the fine lines under my eyes when I smile. I actually hardly ever wear powder for this reason but when I want to set my foundation and concealer to last I use this. It conceals fine lines much better than others I’ve used.
Lancome Virtuose Mascara – Curls, doesn’t clump and spreads lashes evenly. I have been using this for like five years straight.
Erin Bigg Precision Brow Pencil – Super fine wind up pencil for a natural defined brow.
Erin Bigg Pressed Pigment Quad – in Dusky Orchid. These Eyeshadows have a high level of pigment and a beautiful smooth texture making it super easy to blend. Love these colours.
Erin Bigg Luxe Creme Gel Eyeliner – THE BEST GEL EYELINER EVER. Highly pigmented, it just glides on. Doesn’t crack or crease and is waterproof. Also doesn’t dry up in the pot as quickly as others.
Last but not least – Erin Bigg Waterproof Gel Lip Liner – In Naked. Obsessed with this!! First of all, I just love the colour. It glides on so easily and stays!! You can wear it alone for a velvet matte look or with lipstick or gloss over the top. I love it with the ‘Skinny Dip’ Luxury Gloss on top for a long-lasting natural look.
Until next time… xox
